Koobayay exists because I want an easy way to save books to read that let's me buy them later on without having to wade through retailer websites. It also gave me a chance to develop a 'real-world' website with all the glorious mess that comes with it.

Once I sat down and got past the basics, it's clear that there is at least one juggernaut in this market. Does that mean there's room for a teeny tiny app to make your life a little better? I reckon there is.

The more I look at this part of the market, the more I think there's a space for a more friendly app; more friendly for readers, more friendly for authors, and maybe more friendly for publishers. I'm especially interested in how a site like this could help the indie author scene and the up and coming authors space.

The site is pretty bare bones at the moment, but that will change over time. If you have a suggestion or want to reach out, I'd love to chat.

As we launch, Koobayay is completely self funded by me. Over time, there will need to be some type of way for me to make some money from the site to cover costs and the time I spend.

The initial premise I am working towards will be a free to use app, where you can click through to your preferred retailer website, for your preferred format, which will create an affiliate sale for Koobayay.

I do know that whatever way this site earns money will be done honestly, with integrity and in an up-front manner. No monetisation method will ever compromise the independence of the information presented, nor will any personal information ever be sold. Any sponsored/paid content will be visibly identifiable as such, and will be in keeping of the site's tone and objectives.
